History of DAM
DAM Design Research Center was founded in 1976. In the beginning our company was composed of a wood atelier and a project office established by our chairman of the board Mr. Emir Kasidecioğlu who is an Architecture and Industrial Designer.
DAM has performed wide scale of decoration and manufactural projects as well as some hit projects such as; İstanbul Sheraton Hotel, Alarko Alamsaş Plant, Bizimgaz Inc. Aksoy Group, Ekinciler Holding Company and Hak Estate Values and had the authority to have the Industry Registration Certificate of T.C. Ministry of Industry.
In 1993, DAM has performed the application works of Turkmenistan Parliament Building Special Study, Rest and Official Acceptance Suit – Asghabath project. After this challenging project in 14.01.1998 institutionally named DAM Construction and Architectural Inc. Comp.and engaged in the construction field also.
DAM has performed the Topkapı Haluk Undeger Primary School building (330 m2 closed area) and Besiktas Çitlembik sokak Haldun Deger building (950 m2 closed area).
In Asghabath – Turkmenistan, DAM have performed 18.000 mt aluminumworking, double glassing, doors and kitchen furniture of 3 production plants and administration buildings owned by the Turkmenistan Tekstile Deputy Minister and Mr. Ahmet Çalık who is the Chairman of the Board of İstanbul Çalık Holding Company. Also DAM has performed the aluminumworking, double glassing, doors, kitchen furniture and fan coil coating of the same company’s İstanbul Merter Central office; total of 5000 m2 closed area of fine works
In years 1999 and 2000, a total of 7.000 m2 fine works of the stores located in the mall of the Real Shopping Center owned by the German Metro Holding Company, has been undertaken and performed with two seperate contracts, by DAM.
Also, the renovation, refurbishment and project implementation of 14 floors of Turkcell İstiklal street and Tepebasi Buildings, as well as project and production of renovation of indoor equipment works of Koç (Koç Holding Company) Communication Portal of Mindshare Media Services Harmancı Giz Plaza were lately performed by DAM in our own manufacturing facility.
Our company had been given the honor of taking part in the archive of Fine Arts General Directory of T.C. Ministry of Culture in 1999. Our management team is composed of; Interior Designer and Industrial Designer (DGSA) Emir Kasidecioğlu, Interior Designer Serkan Yıldız (DGSA), Business Management Ali Üçkaleler (University of Istanbul).
